CHEESY SKILLET BISCUITS | |
6 oz. grated cheddar cheese 1 tbsp. baking powder 2 tbsp. chopped chives 1/4 c. melted butter 2 c. flour 1 tsp. salt 3/4 c. milk Combine dry ingredients; stir in chives; add milk and butter, mixing just until moistened. Knead dough on floured surface about 10 times. Pat dough out to a 12"x9" rectangle; place cheese equally spaced on 1/2 of dough. Fold other half of dough over cheese. Cut into 3"x2" rectangles; press together edges of dough to seal. Place in generously greased, hot 12" skillet. Cover. Cook over low heat 10 minutes. Turn; cover. Continue cooking 5 minutes. |
