LACE COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. light Karo syrup
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 c. flour
1/4 c. chopped nuts
1/4 c. coconut flakes
1 tsp. vanilla

In saucepan over stove top, melt butter, Karo syrup and brown sugar until mixture bubbles and boils for a few minutes. Remove from heat. Add flour, nuts, coconut and vanilla and mix. Drop small teaspoon full on greased cookie sheet and bake at 325 degrees for 5 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Peel from cookie sheet while still warm and cool on rack or plate. These can be dipped in chocolate for a special treat!
