MONKEY BREAD 
2 pkgs. dry yeast
1 c. warm water
1/2 c. soft butter
1 tsp. salt
2 sm. eggs, well beaten
1/2 c. sugar
4 c. flour

Dissolve yeast in water. Mix butter, salt (omit salt if using self-rising flour), eggs, sugar and 1 cup flour. Then add yeast and rest of flour. May add more if sticky. Place in large greased bowls. Turn to grease top of dough. Let rise double (1 to 1-1/2 hours). Work down and put on flour board. roll 1/2-inch thick. Cut 3 x 1-1/2 inch strips. Then cut in squares. (Dough cuts better and faster with pizza cutter.) Dip each piece in melted butter. Place around bottom of tube pan and on top of each other in a crazy-like way. Let rise 30 minutes. Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
