NEIMAN - MARCUS LEMON SQUARES 
1 c. plus 2 tbsp. flour
1 stick cold butter
1/4 c. confectioners' sugar
2 lg. eggs
3/4 c. granulated sugar
3 tbsp. fresh lemon juice
1/2 tsp. double acting baking powder

Blend 1 cup flour, butter, and confectioners' sugar until resembles cornmeal. Pat mixture into 8 inch square pan. Bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 12 to 15 minutes. Beat eggs until pale and thick; beat in granulated sugar and lemon juice; beat for 8 minutes. Stir in 2 tablespoons flour, baking powder, and pour over baked layer. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Cool; cut into squares.
