TRIFLE 
Slivered almonds
1 yellow cake mix
2 qts. fresh berries (any kind)
1 lg. pkg. instant vanilla pudding
1 lg. container Cool Whip

Prepare cake as directed on package and bake in 9 x 13 pan. Prepare pudding. Cut cooled cake in quarters, then in halves lengthwise. Layer in large clear glass bowl as follows:

Cake
Berries (quartered if using strawberries)
Pudding

Repeat layers until bowl is full. Top with Cool Whip and slivered almonds. Garnish with berries. Let stand in refrigerator for 4 hours before serving.
