2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. Karo syrup
1 c. butter
1 lg. box Crispix cereal
1/2 tsp. baking soda
Dash of cream of tartar

Boil first 3 ingredients 5 minutes. Add soda, cream of tartar and dash of salt. Put Crispix cereal in a large greased pan with mixed nuts if desired. Pour cooked mixture over cereal and bake 15 minutes at 350. Cool on wax paper.
