FROSTY FRUIT SALAD 
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
1 qt. buttermilk
1 1/4 tsp. vanilla
1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained
1 (17 oz.) can fruit cocktail, drained
1/2 c. chopped maraschino cherries

In large bowl, combine sugar, salt, buttermilk, and vanilla until well mixed. Gently stir in drained fruit and chopped cherries. Pour into 9 inch square pan. Freeze until firm. Serves 9-12.
