LEMON VANILLA POUND CAKE 
1 cup shortening (Crisco) or butter
2 1/4 cups sugar
3 cups sifted all-purpose flour
4 eggs
2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. lemon
1/4 tsp. salt
1 cup milk

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Cream shortening. Add sugar gradually. Add eggs, one at a time, and mix well. Add flour and milk alternately, adding baking powder and salt with last of the flour. Add flavoring and beat at medium speed until thoroughly mixed.

Put mixture in greased and floured tube/regular size Bundt pan. Cut through batter to remove air bubbles. Bake at 350°F for 50 to 60 minutes.

Serves 18 to 20.
