ESCALLOPED CABBAGE WITH CHEESE 
3 c. cabbage
1 to 2 c. cheese
2 c. thick white sauce
1 c. buttered crumbs

Cook cabbage in salted water. Put in buttered baking dish with chopped or grated cheese. Prepare white sauce and pour over cabbage and cheese (or cheese may be melted in white sauce). Cover with crumbs and bake 30 minutes in moderate oven.
