Pistachio Pudding Dessert

I add 50 percent to the crust, makes it easier to spread the cool whip mixture... and I love the crust! I have made with with Chocolate, or butterscotch, or lemon. All work great, but pistachio is still my favorite! Lemon is my second choice. Oh, I use half a big tub cool whip in with the cream cheese and powdered sugar, and the other half for the top... which also makes it easier to spread. Another idea... SUGARFREE!!! Use sugarfree cream cheese pudding in place of the powdered sugar, and sugarfree pistachio, and sugarfree cool whip.... not exactly healthy, but better for diabetics than the original. A compromise!

I love this. I add Graham cracker crumbles to the crust and love it with shaved almonds on top. I also tend to go extra on the cool whip. It's a hit EVERY TIME!

Amazing, simply delicious! In the crust I use pistachios instead of walnuts and I sprinkle them on top as well! Pistachios make it awesome!

At Christmas time, I cut maraschino cherries into quarters and scatter them on the top. The red of the cherries, the Cool Whip and the green of the Pistachio pudding makes it look quite festive!

I had this at a church function and it was amazing. The lady that made it called it "Amazing Grace" desert. She gave me the recipe and I made it once and lost the recipe. You can actually use any two flavors of pudding. She used butterscotch and chocolate. I used chocolate and vanilla, and we both topped it with chocolate shavings instead of nuts. It is so rich and delicious!

Here is the pistachio dessert! And she used dream whip instead of cool whip and then topped with a dab and chocolate shavings. Enjoy!

I have made this ALOT this summer and when I took it to our family 4th of July get together my brother-in-law said I couldn't come to his house without this desert with me. So now I have made it again, 2 batches and I doubled the cream cheese mixer (sisters request) for my brother-in-laws birthday.
