FRENCH APPLE PIE 
6 cooking apples
1 unbaked pastry shell
2 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. flour
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Slice the apples thin; place in unbaked pie shell. Sprinkle with 2 tablespoons sugar, cinnamon and lemon juice. Make a streusel of the remaining ingredients by mixing until of a crumb-like texture. Sprinkle over top of apples. Bake at 450 degrees for 10 minutes then reduce temperature to 350 degrees and bake 30 minutes longer. Drizzle with confectioners' sugar icing.
