3 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1 tbsp. baking powder 3/4 c. sugar 2/3 c. butter 1 egg Milk Mix dry ingredients. Cut in the butter (as for pie crust). Beat egg in a measuring cup, then fill cup with milk. Add to flour mixture and stir lightly - just to make a soft dough. Divide in half. Pat each half out on floured board, to 1 inch thick. Cut into 6 triangles and place on baking pan. Brush top with melted butter; sprinkle with sugar. Or you can brush top with milk to have a shiny surface. Bake at 425 degrees for 15 minutes. Split open, butter, and serve hot. |
