MINTY FUDGE BROWNIES 
1 1/4 c. flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking soda
3 1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
1 c. nuts, chopped (if desired)
1/2 c. butter
3 tbsp. water
1 (10 oz.) pkg. mint chocolate chips
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. In a mixing bowl, combine first three ingredients. Set aside. In a saucepan, combine sugar, butter and water; boil. Add chocolate morsels and vanilla extract. Stir until melted and smooth. Let cool. Transfer to large bowl and add eggs. Blend well and fold in flour mixture. Stir in nuts if desired. Pour into 13 x 9 inch greased baking pan or dish. Bake 30 to 35 minutes. Let cool and cut into squares.
