BEETS WITH PINEAPPLE 
2 tbsp. brown sugar
1 tbsp. cornstarch
1/4 tsp. salt
1 (9 oz.) can pineapple tidbits
1 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. lemon juice
1 lb. can sliced beets, drained

Combine brown sugar, cornstarch and salt in saucepan. Stir in pineapple and its juice. Cook, stirring constantly until mixture thickens and bubbles. Add butter, lemon juice and beets. Heat 5 minutes. Yield: 4 servings.

(Good as a side dish or as a salad).
