PINEAPPLE DESSERT 
1 can crushed pineapple
1 stick butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. pecans
1 pkg. vanilla wafers

Heat crushed pineapple, undrained, with butter and sugar until butter is melted. In a 9 x 9 inch pan, line bottom with vanilla wafers, take 1/3 cup of pineapple mixture and pour over vanilla wafers, sprinkle with some chopped pecans.

Add another layer of vanilla wafers, top with more pineapple mixture and sprinkle with pecans. Alternate layers until all mixture is used. Refrigerate overnight. May be served with a whip cream topping.
