1/4 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs

Mix together shortening, sugar, flour, baking powder and salt. Add milk and vanilla. Beat and add the eggs. Bake for 20 minutes (layer cake) at 350 degrees. (You can double this recipe for 2 (9") layers.)

DELUXE CHOCOLATE FROSTING: (2 layer cake)
3 c. sifted confectioners' sugar
1/4 c. butter, softened
2 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 c. milk
2 env. Nestle Choco-Bake

Mix together until smooth. Spread on cooled cake.
