MANDARIN SALAD 
1/4 c. almonds
1/4 head lettuce
2 med. stalks celery, chopped
Sweet Sour Dressing (below)
1 tsp. + 1 tbsp. sugar
1/4 bunch Romaine
2 green onions, sliced
1 (11 oz.) can mandarin oranges, drained

SWEET AND SOUR DRESSING:

1/4 c. vegetable oil
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tbsp. vinegar
1 tbsp. parsley
1/2 tsp. salt
Dash pepper

Cook almonds and sugar over heat, stir, cool and break apart. Store at room temperature. Place lettuce and Romaine in plastic bag; add celery and onions. Pour Sweet and Sour Dressing into bag; add oranges. Close bag and shake; add almonds and shake.
