WENDY'S CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIE

2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
3/4 c. butter, softened
1/4 c. vegetable shortening
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 pkg. (12 oz.) semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 c. oats
1/2 c. chopped walnut (optional)

Mix flour and salt and set aside.

Beat butter, shortening, sugar and vanilla in mixer, beat until light and fluffy scraping bowl. Gradually beat in flour mixture until well combined. Stir in 1 cup chocolate chips and 1/4 cup oats. Pat dough into greased jelly roll pan 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 inches.

Sprinkle remaining oats, walnuts and 1 cup chocolate chips over the top. Press lightly onto dough. Bake 25 minutes at 375 degrees or until edges are lightly browned. Cool completely in pan on wire rack.

Break in 2 x 1 inch pieces. Makes 6 dozen.
