CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES 
2 1/4 c. unsifted white flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. butter
1/4 c. white sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 pkg. (4-serving size) Jello Brand vanilla flavor INSTANT pudding
2 eggs
1 pkg. (12 oz.) chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Mix flour with baking soda. Combine butter, the sugars, vanilla and the pudding mix in large mixer bowl; beat until smooth and creamy. Beat in eggs. Gradually add flour mixture, then stir in chips and nuts. (Batter will be stiff.) Drop by rounded teaspoon about 2 inches apart, onto ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Makes about 7 dozen. Very good.
