QUICK 'N EASY OL' FASHIONED
BISCUITS
 
2 c. flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
6 tbsp. shortening
2/3 c. milk

Mix dry ingredients. Cut or rub in shortening. Add milk to dough; knead lightly. Roll 1/4 inch thick. Cut and bake at 450 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Makes 24 (1 3/4 inch) biscuits.

For buttermilk biscuits: Same recipe but substitute buttermilk and 2 teaspoons of baking powder and add 1/4 teaspoon of soda.
