CREAM OF WILD RICE SOUP 
3 tbsp. butter
3/4 c. chopped onion
3/4 c. chopped celery
8 oz. sliced fresh mushrooms
2 tbsp. flour
3 c. chicken broth
2 1/2 c. milk
4 oz. wild rice
4 oz. brown rice
1/4 tsp. thyme
Savory garlic, onion, and bay
Salt and pepper

Melt butter in a 4 quart pan. Saute onion and celery until tender. Add mushrooms, stir in flour gradually, add liquids. Mix well. Add rice and seasonings, plus salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, reduce heat. Cover and simmer for 1 hour.
