BAKED LASAGNA CASSEROLE 
1 lb. ground beef
1 clove garlic (chopped)
2 tbsp. salad or olive oil
2 c. water
American cheese slices
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 med. onion (minced)
1 tsp. parsley (chopped)
2 cans (6 oz.) tomato paste
1/2 tsp. salt
8 oz. lasagna

In a large heavy pan, brown ground beef in oil with onion, garlic and parsley. Add tomato paste, 2 cups water, salt and pepper and simmer for 1 hour. Meanwhile cook lasagna as directed on package. In 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking dish, spread about 1/2 cup sauce, then alternate layers of lasagna, sauce and cheese slices until baking pan is filled. Top with sauce and bake at 375 for 20 minutes. For last 5 minutes top with cheese slices and bake until cheese melts.

If there is any sauce left, refrigerate and serve later over spaghetti, macaroni or egg noodles.
