AUNTIES PEACH PIE | |
Boil together 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water. Drop in fresh sliced peaches. Probably about 4 to 6 cups. Add 1 heaping tablespoon cornstarch, mixed with a little water. When thick, remove from heat and cool. Pour into 2 unbaked pie shells. Put on top crust and bake in very hot oven until brown. If you want a crumb topping, instead of crust, use this for a 9-inch pie: 1/2 c. butter 1/2 c. brown sugar, packed 1 c. flour Mix until crumbly. Also good on fresh apple pie. Bake apple pies for 45 to 55 minutes in hot 400 degree oven. |
