APPLE CHUTNEY 
4 qt. apples, peeled and chopped
1 lb. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1 qt. vinegar
3 or 4 cloves garlic, minced
3 med. onions, diced fine
2 sweet red or green peppers, chopped (optional)
2 tsp. salt
1 lb. raisins
3 tbsp. mustard seed
2 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. allspice

Cook first 8 ingredients until sauce is formed. Add remaining ingredients and simmer about 1/2 hour. Seal in pint jars. Process if desired. Makes about 8 pints. Delicious served with any meat, but especially wild game.
