APPLE PIE BARS 
2 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. butter (I use 1/2 butter)
2 egg yolks, beaten

Combine dry ingredients. Cut in butter and mix in yolks (will be crumbly). Press half in 15 x 10 inch jelly roll pan and save the rest for topping.

Filling:
4 c. apples, sliced and peeled
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg

Combine and arrange filling over crust. Crumble rest of topping filling. Brush with egg whites. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Cool and drizzle icing. Makes 3 or 4 dozen bars.
