EILEEN DALEY'S BROWNIE ALASKA 
1 pkg. brownie mix
1 pt. ice cream (peppermint or strawberry)
4 egg whites (room temperature)
1/2 c. sugar

Prepare brownie mix as directed on package. Cut in 3-inch squares. Put a scoop of ice cream on each square and put in freezer for at least 1 hour. Get good and hard.

Beat 4 room temperature egg whites and 1/2 cup sugar until stiff peaks are formed. Preheat oven to 500 degrees. Cover ice cream with meringue; seal to edge of brownie. Place in very hot oven for 3 to 4 minutes, or until lightly browned. Serve immediately.
