CHEESEBURGER PIE | |
1 deep dish pie crust 1 lb. ground chuck 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. oregano 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/2 c. bread crumbs 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce 1/4 c. chopped onion 1/4 c. green pepper, chopped 1 egg 1/4 c. milk 2 c. grated cheese 1/2 tsp. dry mustard 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1/2 c. chili sauce In medium skillet cook and stir meat until brown. Drain off fat. Stir in salt, oregano, pepper, crumbs, 1/2 cup of the tomato sauce, onion and green pepper. Pour into unbaked pie crust. Beat egg and milk; combine seasonings, cheese and egg mixture. Spread egg and cheese topping over meat mixture. Bake about 30 minutes at 425 degrees. Cut into wedges. Stir together remaining tomato sauce and the chili sauce; serve with the pie. |
