LORI'S "PRIZE WINNING" PUMPKIN

I always have rave reviews with folks wanting to know the recipe!

1 (15 oz.) can pumpkin
3/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp. ground ginger
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 tsp. sea salt
14 oz. Egg Nog*
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 (9-inch) pie shell (I use a Pillsbury crust)

Note: The "secret ingredient" to this pie is the Egg Nog. My favorite brand is a Custard Nog that makes the filling creamy and smooth. The Egg Nog replaces the usual evaporated milk.

Mix pumpkin and spices together; add remaining ingredients. Mix slowly until just thoroughly mixed.

Pour into prepared pie shell and bake at 425°F for 15 minutes then reduce temperature to 350°F for an additional 35 to 40 minutes. Cool before serving. Enjoy!

Serves 6-8 people.
