CHEESECAKE COOKIES 
1 c. flour
1/3 c. brown sugar
6 tsp. butter
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
1 egg
1/4 tsp. lemon peel, finely shredded
2 tsp. lemon juice
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. walnuts, chopped
1/4 c. sugar
2 tsp. milk

Stir together flour and brown sugar. Cut in butter until mixture forms fine crumbs. Reserve 1 cup for topping. Press remainder in bottom of ungreased pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. Cream together cream cheese and sugar. Add egg, milk, lemon and vanilla. Spread over crust. Combine nuts with crumbs and sprinkle over the top. Bake for 20 to 30 minutes. Cut into squares.
