TANGY GLAZED HAM | |
1 (5 lb.) lean fresh ham 2 tsp. cornstarch 1/2 c. unsweetened pineapple juice 1 tbsp. firmly packed light brown sugar 1/8 tsp. ground cloves 1/8 tsp. allspice 1/2 c. canned juice packed crushed pineapple with juice Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Trim ham of all visible fat and place in large roasting pan. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake 1 1/2 hours. Meanwhile, dissolve cornstarch in pineapple juice. Combine with brown sugar, cloves and allspice in small saucepan; mix well. Heat until mixture thickens. Add pineapple and spoon glaze over ham. Bake 1 to 1 1/2 hours, brushing occasionally with glaze until ham reaches an internal temperature of 185 degrees. |
