BRUNSWICK - STEW | |
1 qt. stewed tomatoes (or one 16 oz. can) 1 (17 oz.) can sweet peas, drained 1 (17 oz.) can whole kernel corn, drained 1 (17 oz.) can baby lima beans, drained 2 lg. potatoes, chopped 1 lg. onion, chopped 2 c. spaghetti, broken 2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 c. catsup Salt and pepper to taste 4 to 6 pork chops 3 to 4 chicken breasts or any kind of pieces Cook pork chops and chicken in 2 cups of water for each. Cook until the meat falls off the bone, set broth aside and remove meat from bones. Place all ingredients in a large pot with exception of spaghetti and broth. Add 1/2 broth with ingredients, then simmer on low heat for 1 hour. Add remaining broth and broken spaghetti. Simmer for 30 minutes longer, stirring occasionally. Hot water can be added if needed. More and different meats and vegetables and sauces can be added to this recipe to suit your taste. |
