BOSTON CREAM CANDY 
3 c. sugar
1 c. evaporated milk
1/2 c. white syrup

Mix ingredients in large saucepan. Cook to boiling point, stirring occasionally until a few drops form a soft ball when dropped into cold water. Remove from heat. Cool at room temperature until lukewarm. Add 1/2 cup chopped nuts and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Beat until candy holds its shape. Turn into greased pan. Cut into squares when cool.
