CREAM CHEESE POUND CAKE 
3/4 c. butter, do not substitute
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, at room temp.
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
4 lg. eggs
1 3/4 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder

Cream butter and sugar until light. Add sugar gradually, beating constantly. Add vanilla. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Combine flour and baking powder and add to creamed mixture, beating well.

Pour into a greased 9 x 5 inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for about 75 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 minutes. Turn onto rack to cool.

This is great served with lemonade in the summer and equally good with hot cocoa on a blustry winter day. This has been enjoyed by my family for many years.
