MEXICAN CHEFS SALAD 
1 head lettuce
4 tomatoes, chopped
1 onion, chopped
4 oz. Cheddar cheese, grated (may be more)
8 oz. 1000 island dressing
1 bag tortilla chips
1 lg. avocado sliced
1 lb. ground beef
1 can kidney beans (15 oz.) drained
1/4 tsp. salt

Toss onion, tomatoes, lettuce with cheese and dressing. Brown beef, beans and salt - simmer for 10 minutes. Mix into cold salad. Decorate with tortilla chips, avocado and tomato slices.

I mix everything except dressing and add to individual servings.
