CHOCOLATE MALT BARS | |
1/3 c. butter, softened 1/3 c. sugar 1 egg 1/2 c. malt powder 1/4 c. milk 1 tsp. vanilla 1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1 c. malted milk balls, coarsely chopped 1/3 c. malted milk balls, coarsely chopped On large mixer bowl beat butter and sugar with an electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Add egg malt powder, milk and vanilla. Beat for 2-3 minutes more or until thoroughly combined. In small bowl stir together flour and baking powder. With mixer on low speed, gradually add flour mixture to sugar mixture, beat for 2-3 minutes or until thoroughly combined. Fold in 1 cup milk balls. Spread mixture into a greased 9 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 20-30 minutes or until toothpick inserted near center comes out clean. Cool bars. Sprinkle with 1/3 cup malted milk balls. |
