1 loaf (16 oz.) frozen pound cake, thawed 1 pkg. (16 oz.) confectioners' sugar 1/3 c. water 1/4 c. Karo light corn syrup 2 tbsp. corn oil 1 tsp. vanilla 3 tubes (3/4 oz. each) decorator gel Cut cake crosswise into 8 slices. Cut each slice in half to make 16 pieces; place on wire rack over waxed paper. In small bowl with mixer at low speed beat sugar, water, corn syrup, corn oil and vanilla until smooth. Spoon icing evenly over cake pieces (icing which drips off may be reused). Let stand at room temperature about 2 hours or until set. Decorate as desired with decorator gel. Makes 16 cakes. |
