CARAMEL CEREAL MIX 
3 c. spoon sized shredded wheat biscuits
3 c. Cheerios
2 c. stick pretzels, broken
1 1/2 c. salted peanuts
1 1/3 c. sugar
1 c. butter
1/2 c. light corn syrup
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine first four ingredients on a cookie sheet. Combine sugar, butter and syrup in a saucepan. Cook, stirring frequently to soft crack stage, 280 degrees. Stir in vanilla. Pour over cereal mix to coat evenly. Mix thoroughly. Cool. Store in a covered dish. Makes 8 cups.
