SEVEN LAYER BARS | |
1/4 c. (1/2 stick) butter 1 c. graham cracker crumbs 1 c. shredded coconut 1 pkg. (6 oz.) chocolate chips 1 pkg. (6 oz.) butterscotch chips 1 c. chopped pecans 1 can sweetened condensed milk (Eagle Brand) Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt butter in a 9 x 12 x 2 inch pan. Sprinkle crumbs evenly over the melted butter and press down. Sprinkle on the coconut, then the chocolate chips, then the butterscotch pieces. Pour condensed milk evenly over all. Sprinkle on the pecans and press lightly. Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool in pan on wire rack. Cut into 1 x 2 inch bars. These are called seven layer bars because the ingredients are layered, not mixed. Makes 48 bars. |
