3 STEP PISTACHIO DESSERT 
STEP ONE CRUST:

1/2 c. butter or regular butter (not lite)
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. white sugar
1 c. flour
1 c. walnuts

Melt butter, add rest of ingredients, mix well. Will be like a thick crust. Pat out in an ungreased, preferably glass cake pan. Bake at 350 degrees for about 20 minutes. Don't over bake. Cool for about 45 minutes to an hour before adding Step 2.

STEP TWO:

1/2 c. white sugar
1/2 carton Cool Whip (may use lite)
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese (may use lite cheese)

Soften cheese, and add sugar and vanilla and mix well. Add Cool Whip and let set until crust is cool. Then spread it on top of crust.

STEP THREE:

2 boxes instant pistachio pudding (or other flavor)
3 c. milk
1/2 carton Cool Whip
1/4 c. walnuts or cherries or whatever you choose to decorate the top with

Mix 3 cups of milk into the pudding mix and beat until slightly thick. Pour over Step 2 and spread it evenly. Let set about 5 minutes and then take 1/2 carton of Cool Whip and spread over pudding mix. Add walnuts, cherries, or whatever to the top.
