CINNAMON APPLE CAKE 
1 1/2 c. oil
2 c. sugar
3 eggs
3 c. plain flour
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. vanilla
3 c. chopped Granny Smith apples
1 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. raisins

Combine oil, sugar and eggs. Add dry ingredients, then remaining ingredients. (Mixture will be a heavy dough.) Pour into greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 45 minutes. When done, leave in pan. Pour buttermilk sauce over cake and let cool in pan.
