BEANS & RICE 
1 lb. pinto beans
1 lg. onion, chopped
1 sm. bell pepper, chopped
Salt & pepper
Red pepper, if desired
2 tbsp. chili powder
1 sm. can tomato paste
1 tbsp. cumin powder
1 tbsp. garlic powder
1 lb. hamburger
1/2 lb. sausage

Cook beans, add tomato paste. Saute onion, bell pepper and hamburger until done. Add to beans with seasonings. Cook 45 minutes on low fire. Add sausage cut in pieces. Cook until sausage is done. Serve over rice.
