VEGETABLE BEEF SOUP 
1 lb. ground beef
1 c. chopped onion
2 tbsp. butter
4 c. hot water
1 can (16 oz.) tomatoes
1 c. sliced celery
1 tbsp. salt
2 beef bouillon cubes
1/2 bay leaf
1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 pkg. (10 oz.) frozen mixed vegetables
1 c. sm. egg noodles
1/2 tsp. thyme

Saute beef and onions in butter in large saucepan until meat is well browned. Add water, tomatoes, celery, salt, bouillon cubes, bay leaf, Worcestershire sauce and pepper. Bring to a boil; cover and simmer 30 minutes.

Add mixed vegetables, noodles and thyme. Bring to a boil. Cover and simmer 15 minutes. Makes 8-10 servings.
