PEACH COBBLER | |
2 (16 oz.) cans sliced peaches, drain one can 1/8 tsp. nutmeg or 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour 1/3 c. sugar 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 c. shortening (part butter), softened 1 egg 1/2 c. milk Place peaches in 13 x 9 inch baking pan, add nutmeg. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Combine butter, egg and sugar. Stir in flour mixture, adding milk, mix well. Spoon batter over peaches, bake at 400 degrees for 30 minutes until lightly browned. Serve warm or cold. |
