CINNAMON RAISIN YOGURT SPREAD | |
1 (16 oz.) container vanilla lowfat yogurt 2 tbsp. golden raisins 2 tsp. sugar 1 tsp. ground cinnamon VARIATION: 1 (16 oz.) container plain lowfat yogurt 2 tbsp. mayonnaise 4 tsp. chopped fresh chives or scallions 1/4 tsp. sugar Mix all ingredients together. Line large wire strainer with coffee filter or 2-3 sheets of white paper towel. Place strainer over large bowl. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until liquid (whey) has drained into bowl and yogurt has thickened to spreadable consistency, about 8 hours. Remove yogurt cheese from strainer, discard liquid. Serve on bagels, toast or English muffins. |
