PEANUT BUTTER CRUMB CAKE 
2 c. brown sugar
2 1/2 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. peanut butter
6 tbsp. (1/3 c.) butter
2 eggs, beaten
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix together brown sugar, flour and salt. Cut in the butter and peanut butter with fork or dough blender until like corn meal. Reserve 2/3 cup of this mixture.

To the rest add milk, eggs, soda dissolved in 1 teaspoon water and vanilla. Beat and pour in greased pan. Sprinkle with reserved crumbs. Bake in moderate oven at 350 degrees about 30 minutes (or less). This makes large sheet cake or 2 round cakes.
