AUNT FANELLA'S LIMA BEANS AND SAUSAGE | |
4 c. shelled fresh lima beans 2 c. sliced smoked sausage 3/4 c. onion, finely chopped 2 tbsp. bacon drippings 1 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. black pepper Put beans in 3 quart pot and cover with water. Bring to boil and cook until beans are tender. While beans are cooking, put bacon drippings, onion and sausage in skillet and cook over medium heat until light brown. When beans are tender add sausage, onion, salt and pepper to boiling beans. Cook on medium heat - 10 minutes. Serves 4-6. |
