CHOCOLATE CAKE 
CAKE:

2 c. all purpose flour
2 c. sugar
1 c. water
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. shortening
1/4 c. cocoa
1/2 c. buttermilk
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla

FROSTING:

1/4 c. cocoa
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. + 2 tbsp. milk
1 lb. sifted powdered sugar
1 c. salted peanuts, chopped
1 c. flaked coconut (opt.)
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine flour and sugar in a large bowl. Set aside. Combine water, butter, shortening and cocoa in a heavy saucepan. Bring to a boil. Pour chocolate mixture over flour mixture. Blend well. Add next 5 ingredients and mix well. Pour batter into a lightly greased 13"x9"x2" baking pan. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into center of cake comes out clean.

FROSTING: Combine cocoa, butter and milk in a heavy saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in sugar, peanuts and coconut and mix well. Add vanilla and frost cake.
