CREAM OF BROCCOLI SOUP 
1 1/2 qts. water (6 c.)
10 oz. pkg. frozen chopped broccoli
3/4 c. finely chopped onions
2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. MSG
2 tsp. white pepper
1 tsp. garlic powder
8 oz. Velveeta, shredded (2 c.)
2 c. half & half
1/4 c. butter
1/3 c. all-purpose flour
1/2 c. cold water

In a 2 quart saucepan, bring 1 1/2 quarts water to a boil. Add broccoli and onion. Boil 10 to 12 minutes. Add seasonings and shredded cheese. Stir until cheese melts. Add half & half and butter. Stir and heat to boiling. Slowly add water to flour, stirring constantly, until mixture is smooth. Slowly add to hot mixture, stirring rapidly. Cook and stir until soup is the consistency of heavy cream. Makes 8 to 10 servings.
