BLUE RIBBON BROWNIES 
1 c. flour
4 to 6 sq. (oz.) unsweetened chocolate
2/3 c. butter
4 eggs
1 1/2 c. chopped nuts, if desired
1 tsp. each baking powder & salt
2 c. sugar
2 tsp. vanilla

Use 6 squares chocolate for extra fudgy brownies.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease pan, 13 x 9 x 2 inches. Mix well flour, baking powder and salt; set aside. Melt chocolate and butter over low heat. Stir in sugar, eggs, vanilla and flour mixture, then nuts. Turn into greased pan. Bake 25 minutes or until finger pressed lightly leaves slight indentation. Cool in pan on rack. Cut into 48 bars. NOTE: Recipe may be halved and baked in 8 x 8 x 2 inch pan.
