TAIWAN SHREDDED BEEF WITH ONIONS 
1 1/2 lb. steak, 1/8 inch thick, cut into match-like pieces
1 tbsp. cornstarch
4 tbsp. soy sauce
3/4 c. oil
2 c. chopped onions
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. MSG
1/4 tsp. pepper

Toss steak pieces with cornstarch and 2 tablespoons soy sauce. Heat 4 tablespoons oil in skillet. Add onions, MSG and salt. Saute 3 minutes; remove. Heat remaining oil. Saute meat until lightly browned. Mix in onions, soy sauce and pepper. Stir fry 1 minute. Serve over rice.
